What this site is
FileKB is a set of browser tools for one specific problem: Indian application forms demand a photograph, a signature or a document at an exact file size, and the software people reach for does not think in kilobytes. Everything here runs locally in the page. No file is transmitted, no account exists, and there is no paid tier.
Who runs it
REPLACE_ME, working alone from Nawada, Bihar, India. This is not a registered company and does not pretend to be one. Contact details and the grievance route are on the contact page and in the privacy policy.
The sourcing rule
Every specification published on this site comes from a document we opened and read: an examination notice, an upload instruction sheet, a portal help page, or an official form. Each page shows the URL, the document's title and the date it was seen. Where two official documents disagree — and they do — both figures appear with the conflict stated.
The rule has an uncomfortable corollary that we accept deliberately. When no official source publishes a number, we do not invent one, even when thousands of people search for it every month. Pages that used to carry such numbers now forward to a tool with the value pre-filled, which serves the visitor without pretending to an authority we do not have.
What we do not do
No claim about how many people use the site. No fake review badges. No countdown timers. No file stored on a server so that a "premium" plan can be sold later. No advertisement placed inside the working area of a tool where a mis-tap costs you your file.
Corrections
If a portal has changed its rules, or a figure here is wrong, the fastest fix is to send the link to the official page that says so. Corrections that arrive with a source are applied the same week and the date-seen field is updated.
Language
Pages are written in plain English of the kind used in India, with Hinglish in headings and guides where that is how people actually ask the question. A Hindi section covers the main tools and the most common problem pages in Devanagari.
