PDF to JPG converter — save pages as images with exact KB control
Drop any PDF to extract every page as a clean JPG image. Save up to 10 pages directly as separate images without a ZIP, or type an exact KB target on any page before downloading.
Why Indian form portals often need a JPG from a PDF
Official documents downloaded from DigiLocker, UIDAI (e-Aadhaar), NSDL/UTIITSL (e-PAN), university result portals, and cyber-cafe scanners almost always arrive as PDF files. However, a large number of Indian recruitment and admission forms — from state police and PSC portals to scholarship and counselling uploads — configure their certificate, ID proof, or caste certificate slots to accept only .jpg or .jpeg images within a strict kilobyte window such as 50 KB, 100 KB or 200 KB.
When you try to upload a PDF into an image-only slot, the portal rejects the file with an Invalid file format — only JPG/JPEG allowed error. Taking a phone screenshot of the PDF is the common workaround, and it fails for a different reason: screenshots capture status bars, black margins, and screen resolution rather than the document's actual print resolution, leaving roll numbers and certificate dates blurry once compressed.
Direct rendering vs. screenshots
This tool renders each PDF page directly onto a high-resolution canvas inside your browser at true document proportions, strips away screen chrome, and encodes the page directly to a clean baseline JPEG. You can choose between balanced 150–200 DPI rendering (ideal for 50–100 KB targets) and crisp 300 DPI print rendering when small text on a marksheet or gazette notification needs maximum clarity.
Per-page KB control in a single row
Different pages of the same PDF often go into different form fields with different limits — for example, Page 1 (front of an ID card or 10th marksheet) may need to stay under 100 KB, while Page 2 needs to fit under 50 KB. Instead of running each image through a separate resizer, every converted page row on this screen includes its own inline KB target box. Type any number into that page's box and press Save; the tool binary-searches the JPEG quality and scale for that page alone and downloads the exact-size image immediately.
Smart batch saving: 1–10 separate JPGs, 11+ automatic ZIP
On mobile phones, unpacking a .zip file just to get two or three certificate pages is unnecessary friction. When your PDF has up to 10 pages, clicking Save All downloads each page as a separate .jpg file straight into your Downloads folder, ready to select in the form uploader. If you drop a longer booklet with more than 10 pages, the primary button switches to Save ZIP automatically so your browser is never overwhelmed by dozens of individual file prompts.
Seamless handoff from Compress PDF and Photo to PDF
If you just finished shrinking a document in Compress PDF or assembling pages in Photo to PDF and realised the portal actually wants JPEG images, click the PDF to JPG button in the result card. Your PDF is handed across tabs inside browser memory and opens here automatically without re-selecting the file. And if you need to crop a single detail out of a rendered page — such as a passport photo or signature box printed on an admit card — pass the saved JPG to Crop & Rotate or Signature Maker.
How it works
- Drop your PDF document into the box — everything runs locally in your browser tab.
- Choose page sharpness (Balanced, Print 300 DPI, or Compact) and an optional default KB limit.
- Press Convert to JPG to render each page with a live thumbnail and size readout.
- Need one specific page under 50 KB or 100 KB? Type the KB number directly in that row's box and press Save.
- Click Save All to download up to 10 pages as individual JPGs (or Save ZIP for 11+ pages).
