If the portal said the file is too big, start with Resize to KB. It takes a maximum and a minimum, searches for the encoder setting that lands inside the window, and shows how much margin you have left. Use Compress image instead when you want to judge quality by eye rather than hit a number — that page puts the original and the result side by side with a slider.
If the portal said the file is too small, the Increase KB page exists for exactly that message. It raises weight by re-encoding at higher quality first, then by enlarging, and only pads metadata as a last resort with a clear label.
If the portal printed pixel dimensions, use Crop and rotate. It locks the crop frame to the ratio you type so a face is never stretched, straightens tilted scans in single degrees, and exports at the exact width and height requested. Do the pixels before the kilobytes; the other order undoes itself.
If the rejection was about the signature, the Signature resize page trims the white margin, cleans a grey paper background to white, and handles the awkward ten-kilobyte floors that banking notices set. A drawing pad is on the same page if you have no scanner.
If the notice asks for your name and the date the photograph was taken, the Name and date tool prints both across the lower band of the picture, in the plain readable style verification desks want.
If the upload wants a PDF, two pages cover it. Photo to PDF assembles images into a paginated A4 file with draggable page order. Compress PDF re-encodes the images inside an existing document to reach a cap such as 200 KB or 500 KB.
