BPSC's signature box is portrait shaped — taller than it is wide — and the photo is captured live via webcam, so there's no KB target for the photo.

The one signature spec that is taller than it is wide
Every other signature box in this collection is a landscape strip — 140 x 60 px for banks, 250 x 80 px minimum for GATE, 3.5 x 1.5 cm for CTET. The BPSC user manual asks for 150-220 px wide by 250-320 px tall, which is portrait. If you crop a normal signature the usual way and resize it, the aspect ratio will be wrong and the upload will bounce.
No photo spec, by design
BPSC captures the photograph through your webcam while you fill the form, so no KB or pixel figure is published and none can be honestly invented. What the manual does give is a list of capture conditions: face straight to the camera, eyes open, light-coloured background, no headgear, cap, power glasses, sunglasses, mask, muffler or helmet, and nobody else in the frame.
Two scripts, one ceiling
Like CSBC, BPSC wants your signature in Hindi and in English as separate uploads, each under 20 KB. Because the limit is a ceiling with no floor, there is no padding problem here — but there is a legibility problem if you push a portrait crop down to a few kilobytes. Around 15 KB keeps the strokes clean at the size the commission prints them.
How it works
- Sign once in Hindi and once in English on plain white paper with a dark pen.
- Scan or photograph the sheet and crop each signature separately.
- Crop with extra vertical space so the shape is portrait, not a wide strip.
- Resize to roughly 200 x 300 px, inside BPSC's published window.
- Export each file under 20 KB — around 15 KB is comfortable.
- Complete the webcam capture in the form itself, facing the camera with nothing covering your face.
