A 10 KB window is narrower than it sounds
CSBC's advertisement 01/2025 sets both the photograph and the signature at 15 to 25 KB. That leaves very little room: drop quality too far and you fall under 15 KB, keep the original resolution and you sail past 25 KB. The reliable order is to resize the pixels first — a photo around 300 x 380 px — and only then trade quality until the file settles near 20 KB.
Two signatures, in two scripts
Clause 13 of the advertisement asks for the signature in English and in Hindi, uploaded as separate files, both in black or blue ink on white. Candidates frequently sign twice on one sheet and upload the same crop into both fields, which defeats the purpose. Crop each signature on its own.
The format list is unusually generous
CSBC accepts .jpg, .jpeg and .gif — the only entity on this site that mentions GIF at all. It is a legacy allowance and not an advantage: GIF stores photographs with a 256-colour palette, so at 20 KB a JPEG will look considerably better. Use the format list as reassurance rather than an invitation, and keep the photograph no more than two months old as the advertisement requires.
How it works
- Take a colour photo on a white background within the last two months.
- Resize and export it between 15 and 25 KB.
- On white paper, write your signature twice — once in English and once in Hindi.
- Crop each signature separately and export both between 15 and 25 KB.
- Upload the photo, the English signature and the Hindi signature in their own fields.
- Keep the same photo file for later stages of the physical test and document check.
